ISRO Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the regular ISRO Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ posts must possess a BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.

Electronics

CGPA and Percentage Rules

Where the university provides both CGPA and percentage in the degree certificate or consolidated marksheet, at least one of the two criteria must satisfy the ISRO/Department of Space eligibility requirements.

Where only CGPA is mentioned, the CGPA itself must satisfy the prescribed eligibility criterion. Candidates cannot convert CGPA into percentage merely for establishing eligibility, irrespective of any conversion formula prescribed by their university or institution.

For dual/integrated degree programmes, the rules specified in the recruitment notification will be applicable for determining the qualifying graduation marks/CGPA.

ISRO Scientist Engineer Age Limit 2026

The maximum age limit is 28 years as on 16 September 2026.

Age relaxation is applicable to eligible candidates belonging to categories such as:

ISRO Scientist Engineer Salary 2026

Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix.

The application fee structure is as follows:

  • Initial Processing Fee: ₹750

Initially, all candidates are required to pay ₹750 as the processing fee. The ₹250 application fee is non-refundable.

Candidates exempted from payment of the application fee, including eligible women, SC/ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates, can receive a full refund of the processing fee after appearing in the Written Test/CBT.

For other candidates, ₹500 of the ₹750 processing fee will be refunded after deducting the ₹250 application fee, provided the candidate appears in the Written Test/CBT.

Cash, cheque, demand draft, money order, IPO or other payment methods will not be accepted.
