The selection process consists of:

Group Discussion
Personal Interview
Candidates must first appear in the relevant GATE-2027 paper and qualify according to the qualifying marks announced by the GATE-2027 Organizing Institute.
Qualified candidates will be shortlisted category-wise for Group Discussion and Personal Interview based on their normalized GATE marks.
GRID-INDIA may also conduct a Behavioral Assessment for candidates shortlisted for GD/PI. The Behavioral Assessment will be used as an input during the interview and will not carry qualifying marks.
Candidates must appear in all prescribed stages and qualify the Personal Interview for final empanelment.

GRID-INDIA Executive Trainee Salary
Selected candidates will initially be placed at E2 level in the pay scale of:
₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000 (IDA)
The first year will involve On-the-Job Training (OJT). Allowances and benefits will be paid as applicable under GRID-INDIA rules.
After successful completion of training, Executive Trainees will be regularized at E2 level in the same pay scale.
