Essential Qualification NIT Principal Scientific Officer,Technical Assistant and other Recruitment

  • Principal Scientific Officer
    • B.E. or B.Tech. or M.Sc. or MCA with first class.
    • Requires 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Student Activity & Sports (SAS) Officer
    • Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Sports Science with 60% marks.
    • Must qualify in the national-level test (UGC NET etc).
  • Assistant Librarian
    • Master’s Degree in Library Science or Information Science with 60% marks.
    • Must qualify in the national-level test (NET/SLET/SET).
  • Assistant Registrar
    • Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks.
  • Technical Assistant
    • First Class B.E. or B.Tech. or MCA in relevant subject.
    • Or First Class Diploma in relevant Engineering field.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil)
    • First Class B.E. or B.Tech. in Civil Engineering.
    • Or First Class Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Library and Information Assistant
    • First Class Bachelors Degree (Science/Arts/Commerce).
    • Bachelors Degree in Library and Information Science.
  • Superintendent
    • First Class Bachelors Degree in any discipline.
    • Or Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks.
    • Knowledge of computer applications is needed.
  • Pharmacist
    • 12th Grade in Science (PCB/PCM).
    • 2 Years Diploma with First class or a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma).
    • Must be a registered Pharmacist.
  • Senior Assistant / Junior Assistant
    • 12th Grade from a recognized board.
    • Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.
    • Good with Computer Word Processing and Spreadsheets.
  • Technician / Senior Technician
    • 12th Grade with Science with at least 60% marks.
    • Or 12th Grade with 50% marks and an ITI course.
    • Or 10th Grade with 60% marks and a 2-year ITI certificate.
    • Or a three-year Diploma in relevant Engineering field.

Salary details NIT Principal Scientific Officer,Technical Assistant and other Recruitment

Rs.21,700-1,44,200/-

Selection Process NIT Principal Scientific Officer,Technical Assistant and other Recruitment

  1. Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT) for most posts, or an Interview for Principal Scientific Officer.
  2. Stage II: Interview, Skill Test, or Trade Test, depending on the post.
  3. Candidates for Stage II will be shortlisted based on Stage I marks in a 1:10 ratio.
  4. There is negative marking of 1/4th for wrong answers in the CBT.
  5. Final selection is based on marks from Stage I and Stage II, with different weightage for various posts.
