The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced a great opportunity for students. DRDO is recruiting for a Paid Internship Scheme 2025. There are about 496 internship positions available for final year engineering and science students. This is a contractual internship for six months to eleven months. The recruitment advertisements were released in late June 2025. Job locations include Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Agra, and Haldwani. Interested students from India can apply before the last date in July 2025.

Essential Qualification DRDO internship

Candidates must be studying in a full time course from a recognized Indian University. Some labs require a minimum percentage of marks or CGPA.

  • Undergraduate Students
    • Must be in the final year (7th or 8th semester) of their B.E. or B.Tech degree.
  • Postgraduate Students
    • Must be in the final year (1st or 2nd year) of their M.E. or M.Tech degree.
    • M.Sc students in final year can also apply for some labs like RCI and DEBEL.
  • CGPA Requirement
    • Some labs prefer a CGPA of 8.5 or higher or marks above 85%.
    • RCI and R&DE(E) require a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or 75% marks.

  1. Merit Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic marks and CGPA.
  2. Interaction or Interview: Shortlisted students may have to go through an online interview or interaction.
  3. Document Verification: Final selection is subject to verification of all required documents.
