Coal India Limited (CIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 for recruitment of Management Trainees (MT) in Mining discipline based on GATE 2025 Score.

Educational Qualification
- Degree in Mining Engineering
- Minimum 60% marks (UR/OBC/EWS)
- 55% marks (SC/ST)
- Must have qualified GATE 2025 (Mining – MN Paper)
Only GATE 2025 score is valid.
Age Limit (As on 30 April 2026)
- Maximum: 30 Years (UR/EWS)
- OBC (NCL): 3 Years relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 Years relaxation
- J&K Domicile: 5 Years
- Maximum age shall not exceed 56 years after relaxation.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on:
- GATE 2025 Score
- Shortlisting in 1:3 ratio (vacancy-wise)
- Document Verification (DV)
- Initial Medical Examination (IME)
Final merit list will be prepared based on GATE 2025 Score only.
Tie-breaking criteria:
- Higher graduation percentage
- Senior in age

Salary & Benefits
Selected candidates will be appointed as Management Trainee (E-1 Grade).
- Pay Scale: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000
- Initial Basic Pay: ₹60,000 per month
- Training Period: 1 Year
After successful completion:
