Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released a new notification for Trade Apprentice, Technician Apprentice, and Graduate Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The recruitment is for the Western Region covering states such as Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and the Union Territories of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

The vacancies are distributed across Technician, Trade, and Graduate Apprentice disciplines.

IOCL Apprentice Post Details

Technician Apprentice (Diploma)

Disciplines include:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Instrumentation Engineering

  • Civil Engineering

  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering

  • Electronics Engineering

Qualification

  • 3-year Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline

  • Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)

Trade Apprentice (ITI)

Trades include:

  • Fitter

  • Electrician

  • Electronics Mechanic

  • Instrument Mechanic

  • Machinist

Qualification

  • Matriculation (10th pass)

  • ITI in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institute

Graduate Apprentice

Disciplines include:

  • BA

  • B.Com

  • B.Sc

  • BBA

Qualification

  • Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).

Data Entry Operator Apprentice

Two categories:

  1. Fresher – 12th pass (below graduate)

  2. Skill Certificate Holder – 12th pass with Domestic Data Entry Operator certificate

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years

  • Maximum Age: 24 years (as on 28 February 2026)

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST – 5 years

  • OBC (NCL) – 3 years

  • PwBD – 10 years

Stipend

Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprentices Rules.

Selection Process

The selection process for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment includes:

  1. Merit list based on marks in the qualifying examination

  2. Document Verification

  3. Pre-engagement Medical Fitness Test

There will be no written exam or interview.

Important Eligibility Conditions

  • Graduate and Diploma candidates must have passed between 01 April 2022 and 28 February 2026.

  • ITI and Data Entry candidates must have passed between 01 April 2021 and 28 February 2026.

  • Candidates with higher qualifications like B.E., B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB are not eligible.
