BEL Chennai Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in for Graduate, Diploma & B.Com Apprentices

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a prestigious Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has announced a Walk-in Selection for Apprenticeship Training 2026 at its Chennai (Nandambakkam) Unit.

BEL Chennai invites applications from B.E / B.Tech, Diploma Engineering, B.Com, BBA & BBM candidates who passed during 2021 to 2025 for one-year Apprenticeship Training under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) through Board of Apprenticeship Training (BoAT), Southern Region.

✅ Eligibility Criteria for BEL Apprentice 2026

📍 Regional Eligibility

  • Candidates must belong to Southern Region only:
    Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala & Puducherry

🎓 Educational Qualification

  • Full-time Regular Degree / Diploma from AICTE / UGC / DOTE recognized institutes

  • Passed on or after 01-04-2021

🎂 Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

  • Maximum: 25 Years

  • SC/ST: +5 Years

  • OBC: +3 Years

  • PwBD: +10 Years

📈 Minimum Marks Required

  • Engineering / Diploma:

    • General / OBC / EWS – 60%

    • SC / ST – 50%

  • B.Com / BBA / BBM – 50%

❌ Not Eligible If:

  • Already completed / pursuing apprenticeship under NATS/NAPS

  • Possessing higher qualification (PG / Integrated PG)

  • More than 1 year work experience in private organizations

🧪 BEL Apprentice Selection Process 2026

  • Shortlisting based on academic percentage

  • No written exam for apprenticeship

  • CGPA must be converted to percentage (proof required)

  • Reservation as per Government norms

  • Selection list published on BEL official website

  • Intimation through registered email

🚀 Career Opportunity After Apprenticeship

👨‍💼 Trainee Engineer-I (For Graduate Apprentices)

Candidates with Excellent / Very Good performance may be considered for Trainee Engineer-I role:

  • Written Test: 100 Marks

  • Minimum Qualifying:

    • GEN/OBC/EWS – 35%

    • SC/ST/PwBD – 30%

Salary:

  • 1st Year – ₹30,000/month

  • 2nd Year – ₹35,000/month

  • 3rd Year (if extended) – ₹40,000/month

  • Additional ₹12,000/year towards allowances

🛠️ Advanced Training for Diploma & Optional Apprentices

  • Screening Test (100 Marks)

  • Minimum Qualifying – 50%

Stipend:

  • Technician Apprentices:

    • Year 1 – ₹25,000

    • Year 2 – ₹26,000

  • Optional Apprentices:

    • Year 1 – ₹22,000

    • Year 2 – ₹23,000

  • ₹8,000/year extra towards uniform & insurance
