SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 835 Apprentice Posts
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has released the Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification for engagement of 835 Trade, Graduate and Technician Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the training year 2026-27.
Eligible ITI, Diploma, Engineering Degree and Graduate candidates can register through the respective NAPS/NATS portals and submit their applications on or before 26 August 2026. Eligible candidates are also required to attend the walk-in document verification scheduled from 1 September to 26 September 2026 at Rourkela Steel Plant, Odisha.
This apprenticeship provides one year of practical industrial training with monthly stipend as per Government norms.

Stipend
Trade Apprentice
- ₹10,560 per month
- COPA & Welder: ₹9,600 per month
Graduate Apprentice
- ₹12,300 per month
Technician Apprentice
- ₹10,900 per month
Selection Process
Selection will be based on academic merit through walk-in verification.
Weightage:
- 30% Marks obtained in Class 10
- 70% Marks obtained in ITI/Diploma/Degree
There will be no written examination.
