The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has officially released the notification for the Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Tech (ACIO-II/Tech) Examination 2025 on 25th October 2025. IB has announced a total of 258 vacancies for technically qualified graduates in the disciplines of Computer Science & IT and Electronics & Communication. Essential Qualification IB ACIO Tech Recruitment 2025

Candidates must have achieved the qualifying cut-off marks in GATE in the years 2023 or 2024 or 2025 in either Electronics & Communication (EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (CS).

Degree: Along with the GATE score, candidates must possess:

  • B.E./B.Tech in relevant fields (Electronics, ECE, CSE, IT, etc.) OR
  • M.Sc in Electronics/Computer Science or MCA from a Government recognized University/Institute.

The candidate must be between 18 to 27 years of age as on 16.11.2025.

Selection Process IB ACIO Tech Recruitment 2025

  1. GATE Score Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted (10 times the number of vacancies) based on their valid GATE 2023/2024/2025 score.
  2. Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a practical-based technical Skill Test.
  3. Interview: The final stage is an interview to assess subject knowledge and communication skills.

The final merit list will be prepared out of 1175 marks, with weightage given to GATE Score (750 marks), Skill Test (250 marks), and Interview (175 marks).
