Educational Qualification/ Experience
Faculty - Marine Engineering :
a) MEO Class - I (Motor) Certificate of Competency issued by Directorate General of Shipping (DGS),Government of India.
b) Sailing experience for a minimum period of six months at Management level within the meaning of STCW Convention, as amended.
c) VICT / TOTA Course Certificate or Willingness to complete the course before joining.
d) AECS and TSTA Course Certificate or Willingness to do the course after joining.
Faculty - Nautical Science :
a) Master (Foreign Going) Certificate of Competency issued by Directorate General of Shipping,Government of India.
b) Sailing experience for a minimum period of six months at Management level within the meaning of STCW Convention, as amended.
c) VICT / TOTA Course Certificate or Willingness to complete the course before joining.
d) AECS and TSTA Course Certificate or Willingness to do the course after joining
Workshop Instructor - Electrical Engineering :
1. 3-year Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from an institute approved by the All India Council of Technical Education OR PO/CPO/MCPO in Electrical Branch of Indian Navy / Coast Guard OR Electrician or ETO from Merchant Navy 2. VICT / TOTA Course Certificate or Willingness to complete the course before joining.
Workshop Instructor - Marine Engineering :
- Marine Fitter from Merchant Navy Requirements: (OR) PO/CPO/MCPO of Marine Engineering Branch from Indian Navy / Coast Guard (OR)
Near Coastal Voyage (NCV) class IV Engineer. (AND) VICT / TOTA Course Certificate or Willingness to complete the course before joining.
